Augmented Reality in Aerospace

Aerospace

Aerospace operations require a high level of focus and, in particularly risky circumstances, AR and VR can provide an excellent support to aircraft operators, for example for landing in low visibility conditions.

Augmented Reality provides tools and solutions to improve processes in a variety of areas, from operations to training.

Moreover Augmented Reality can help Aerospace companies to improve their maintenace and inspection routines by providing a visual aid to technical operations, making it easier to locate inspection points and execute complex operating procedures.

AR Flight Control

Inglobe Technologies, together with MSTUCA, developed a highly accurate wearable Augmented Reality flight control system to help pilots land safely in low visibility conditions.

VR Training

The goal of this project was to develop a Virtual Reality training system to help unexperienced Airside drivers to learn the basic manoeuvres to safely approach the airside. (via Aviareal)
